Stilling The Mind, Yoga & Acupuncture

Join Sasha McDougall, RYT and Marybeth Feddema, RAc, RYT for a Tantra Hatha yoga class followed by a calming acupuncture session. This workshop is designed for grounding and stabilizing a busy mind. The yoga portion of this event will include asana, pranayama and meditation. This is a slow and powerful Moon yoga practice with deep holds of standing and floor postures- primarily forward folds and twists, which are known for their calming and steadying effects. These postures are coupled with a focus on conscious and extended exhalations, which are used to guide awareness inwards to touch that pure space of stillness that exists beyond the thinking mind. Once you are in a deep sense of relaxation and have opened up the meridians of the body through movement and breath, you will receive a nurturing acupuncture treatment. The Acupoints will support the effects of this Moon yoga class, solidifying the sense of stability in body, mind and spirit. 

Marybeth RYT, RAC: Marybeth (she/her) is a Registered Acupuncturist and Yoga Teacher. She is passionate about holistic health and wellbeing. She aims to create a healing environment where all areas of life can be addressed, bringing the whole body and mind back into balance. 

Marybeth's practice is heart driven, valuing  inclusivity, connection and safety. She aims to provide space for patients to feel seen, heard and deeply cared for. Marybeth’s practice focuses on treatment and support of mental health and addictions, digestive health, hormonal health and chronic pain. 

Sasha McDougall RYT: Sasha (She/her) is a Registered Yoga Teacher. Her intention is to offer a space where students can land and become curious. Through Yoga we cultivate and receive the gifts of steadiness, discernment and self-knowledge which help us truly thrive.  Tantra enables us to burn through the limitations that bind our perception and prevent us from seeing and experiencing all-encompassing Divinity. Tantra is the science of “energy management”, which seeks to systematically clear energy blockages within the body, build new energy (Prana), and direct it skillfully towards different areas in the gross and subtle bodies and overtime ultimately into the spine. This allows us to unify spiritual life and everyday life, so that we can succeed in both. The foundational  framework of my classes includes but is not limited to Asana, Pranayama, Mantra and Meditation.

$40 + gst
