The Anatomy of Yoga with Katie Thacker & Kristine Salmon
This 3 day intensive is for those looking for a deeper understanding of the anatomy behind their yoga practice.
Learn why & how your body moves. This series will be a combination of lecture, practice and Q & A.
Dr. Kristine Salmon (Chiropractor) will educate attendees on skeletal and muscular structure in relation to yoga postures and transitions. Katie Thacker will guide you through a focused vinyasa sequence that allows students to embody that taught in lecture. The Q & A section will be an opportunity to ask body specific questions about limitations and injuries in movement.
You must register for the full weekend to attend.
- January 19th 7:00-9:00pm
- January 20th 2:00-4:30pm
- January 21st 1:30-3:00pm
This opportunity is for you if:
- You are a yoga teacher looking to find a deeper understanding of anatomy and how your students move.
- You are a yoga student looking to understand your own bodies movement in your yoga practice.
- You live with mild chronic injury to understand how to move in a healthier way.
This is not an appropriate series for anyone with injuries that heavily limit their movement. You must be able to move through a yoga practice in order to attend. More serious injuries require more focused attention. Please email to discuss private offerings if this is the case.
